چکیده
Alkali-activated materials are produced by chemically polymerizing the aluminosilicate using alkaline activators, which can effectively lower greenhouse-gas emissions (approximately 73%) released ordinary Portland cement (OPC). Silicomanganese slag is a large solid waste discharged from ferroalloy industry in China that pollute environment and occupy resources. In this paper, alkali-activated material was replaced with silicomanganese to address disposal of silicomangaese slag. The flowability, setting times, compressive flexural strengths, micro-structure freeze-thaw resistance concrete (AASSC) varied substitution ratios, volume fractions steel fibers modulus (MS) were exploited. As results strengths at 56 days AASSC 10% ratio reached over 80 MPa 132 3% fiber dosage. still 91 45 60% 100% ratios cooperating 2% fibers, respectively. When cycle number 300, replacement 10%, 84%, 74% 51% their original values respectively; numerous substitutions destroyed 600 300 cycles, content suitable for excellent performance, also be applied construction massive utilization

Conventional concrete production that uses ordinary Portland cement (OPC) as a binder seems unsustainable due to its high energy consumption, natural resource exhaustion and huge carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. To transform the conventional process of concrete production to a more sustainable process, the replacement of high energy-consumptive PC with new binders such as fly ash and alkali-acti...

in this paper, the possibility of using recycled aggregate (ra) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (ggbfs) to produce a structural concrete was studied by compromising strength to a lesser extent. hence an attempt has been made to study the strength and durability characteristics of the ggbfs-based recycled aggregate concrete. four different groups of mixes were designed by replacing natu...

Alkali Activated Slag Concrete (AASC) mixes are manufactured by activating ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) using sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate solutions. The aim of the present experimental research was to investigate the effect of increasing the dosages of sodium oxide (Na2O, in the range of 4 to 8%) and the activator modulus (Ms) (i.e. the SiO2/Na2O ratio, in the range of ...

Increasing the concrete alkali content from 0.6% to 1.25% of Na2Oe of the cement mass by adding NaOH to the mixture water has harmful effects on most mechanical properties (compressive, splitting, direct tensile, and flexure strengths) of concrete made with a water-tocement (w/c) ratio of 0.41 and limestone aggregates not susceptible to alkali–silica reaction (ASR), however not on the elasticit...
